Thank you for visiting my website. Please stay a while, and browse my work. For those of you who are wondering what that work might be, I am a writer. If you are here to read reviews, please click the link to the top-left. If not, here is a bit about me.

Biography

I am a native Mississippian and freelance author/journalist. I am a proud mother of four young children: Jordan, Abigail, Emelia, and Alex.

Since discovering my passion for writing, I have been lucky to publish feature articles for The Mississippi Press, The Northside Sun, the Jackson Free Press, humorpress.com, the Magnolia Quarterly, Parents and Kids Magazine, and The Scribbler (a quarterly publication of the Mississippi Writers Guild, of which I am Editor).

In 2005, I was also fortunate to discover a brave, local publisher (Quail Ridge Press) who was willing to take a chance on a first time author, resulting in the publication of my first full-length book, "Inventing Ott: The Legacy of Arthur C. Guyton." You can check it out using the link to your right.

I earned a B.S. degree in Biology from Millsaps College (Jackson, MS), which is where I learned to love science! In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing with my kids, and learning random new things! I am a girl scout leader, a room mom at my kindergartener’s school, and I love to teach non-fiction writing workshops at elementary and middle schools.
