Biography

I am a native Mississippian and freelance author/journalist. I recently returned home from a three year stint in Jacksonville, FL with my husband, Joey, and my three beautiful little girls, Jordan, Abigail, and Emelia. Since discovering my passion for writing, I have been lucky to publish feature articles for The Mississippi Press, The Northside Sun, the Jackson Free Press, humorpress.com, and the Magnolia Quarterly.

In 2005, I was also fortunate to discover a brave, local publisher (Quail Ridge Press) who was willing to take a chance on a first time author, resulting in the publication of my first full-length book, "Inventing Ott: The Legacy of Arthur C. Guyton." You can check it out using the link to your right.

I earned a B.S. degree in Biology from Millsaps College (Jackson, MS), which is where I learned to love science! In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing with my kids, and learning random new things!
